  • Connecting offline and online. Have you ever wondered what happens when a traveler arrives at their hotel? From a digital perspective, it’s like they vanish into thin air. To address this final challenge, Intellias is expanding Digital Twin technology, bridging the gap between offline and online experiences in travel & hospitality.
  • Korean hospitality tech for UAE Sheikh. Seed Group, linked to Sheikh Saeed bin Ahmed Al Maktoum’s Private Office, partners with ONDA to upgrade travel in MENA. By using ONDA’s technology skills from South Korea, Thailand, and Taiwan, they want to make hotels better. Their goal? To make guests happier and make running hotels easier in the area.
  • German growth for getaways. Holidu, a vacation rental booking portal, acquires, a major player in the German market. The acquisition expands Holidu’s offerings, enabling hosts to use their software and services for easier booking processes. The deal enhances both guest and host experiences and marks Holidu’s growth strategy in acquiring strategic assets for further expansion.
  • Hilton gets set for the outdoors. Hilton teams up with AutoCamp, renowned for its outdoor stays near national parks. Soon, guests can book AutoCamp accommodations through Hilton’s website. AutoCamp offers varied lodging options, including cabins and luxury tents, catering to adventure enthusiasts beyond Airstream trailers.
  • Green hospitality metrics. Denmark-based startup focused on sustainability data in hospitality, BeCause closes its seed round with a $600,000 investment from Curiosity VC. They funding will be used to improve their tools, helping hotels be greener and more efficient.
  • When airlines bring AI forward. Earlier this week Qatar Airways presented their own AI-driven tool to help travelers find their ideal destinations easily. The airline wants to simplify and personalize travel planning while introducing new features and winning awards for employee engagement and technology use.
