Mr Kenneth Rogers joined The Ascott Limited (Ascott) in 2006 as the General Manager of Somerset Palace Seoul in South Korea before taking up the position of Country General Manager in Indonesia, which he has held since July 2008. Mr Rogers’ role has recently expanded to incorporate Australia in early 2013, he now oversees the operations of fifteen Ascott, Citadines and Somerset properties in both countries.
Prior to joining Ascott Mr Rogers managed a multitude of five-star international hotels in China, Hong Kong, Taiwan and Australia. Mr Rogers started his career in hotel management after a brief stint working in a hotel in Greece while travelling around Europe in the 80s. It was this experience that prompted Mr Rogers to change his career path from engineering to hospitality.
Besides obtaining a degree in hotel management in Australia, Mr Rogers has completed numerous courses in hospitality, real estate management and has attended the prestigious Insead Business College in Singapore.
In his spare time Mr Rogers enjoys playing golf and spending time with his family.
