As CIO and CTO of Italy’s leading integrated travel group, Francesco is responsible for driving the digital evolution of Alpitour World’s entire ecosystem, from tour operating and aviation to hotels and distribution.
With over 75 years of history, Alpitour World serves millions of travelers each year and plays a key role in connecting Italian tourism to international markets. Francesco leads the Group’s investments in AI, automation, and enterprise tech – focusing on scalable infrastructure and smarter operations across the value chain.
His work bridges legacy systems and emerging technologies, aligning complex organizational needs with a long-term innovation roadmap. Before joining Alpitour World, Francesco held senior tech leadership roles and co-founded companies in both B2B marketplaces and logistics software, giving him a dual perspective as both operator and builder.
